About Enda

Movement has always been at the centre of Enda Mullan’s life. As a Chartered Physiotherapist with over a decade of experience, his passion lies in helping people move better, recover from injury, and return to the activities that matter most to them.

Enda graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster in 2010, beginning his career within the NHS in Belfast where he gained extensive experience treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. Working in multiple hospital settings helped him to build a strong knowledge of a variety of medical conditions and how they impact on peoples lives and physical condition.

His journey then took him to New Zealand, where he continued to develop his expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Working with active individuals and athletes further shaped his approach β€” combining hands-on treatment with progressive rehabilitation and gym-based recovery. Part of his role here also helped facilitate patients back to work.

After New Zealand, Enda worked and lived in London, firstly with the NHS treating patients in the community and then with a Private Health Care Company providing Musculoskeletal Rehab to patients in various clinics around the city.

On his return to Belfast, Enda worked in the National Orthopaedic Hospital where he rehabbed patients following a variety of different surgeries before becoming a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist working in Fractures and Orthopaedics at Ulster Hospital, Dundonald.

Enda has worked with multiple sports teams doing pitch-side physio for Gaelic Football, Hurling, Rugby and Soccer. He was team physio for both Gaelic Football and Hurling at club and county level.

His latest move has brought him to Wexford where he has worked in private practice for the last 5 years before founding Empower Rehab.

Enda believes that successful physiotherapy goes beyond simply treating pain. His approach focuses on identifying the root cause of injury, restoring movement and building strength so that patients can return to their daily life, sport or work with confidence.

He has a particular interest in treating sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, concussion rehab, vestibular conditions and persistent musculoskeletal pain, and is trained in dry needling and Western acupuncture as part of his treatment approach.

Through Empower Rehab, Enda’s goal is simple:
to give people the knowledge, treatment and support they need to take control of their recovery and move forward stronger.
